New dates added to the tour schedule.
I just got the new DVD and am listening to it as I write. To be honest it's much better than I was expecting from the preview video that's up online. It's nice to see her live in concert as it's been almost two years since I've been to an actual Dar concert. It's essentially in two parts: part one Dar solo and the second part with the backup band of guitar (Ben Butler), bass (Mike Visceglia), and drums (Steve Holley). The track list is noted below and is a collection of her most popular songs plus the new Easy Way and an unreleased (to now) cover of the Grateful Dead's Ripple. I can't really attest to the quality of the sound as I don't have it hooked up to my sound system but the picture is good and clear and the mix is easy to listen to (ie; you can hear Dar clearly above the music). Weirdly, there seem to be a lot of middle age dudes in the audience (I don't know why I noticed that but there it is). So nothing spectacular or overwhelming but a nice, solid Dar performance and a decent stopgap measure for those who haven't been or won't be able to get to a concert in while. My cat Bello was enraptured by the Ocean, he just sat there watching it with rapt attention and when it was over he was done . . . It is also nice to have a few new things to listen to. Dar's song The Babysitter will be on a new benefit compilation called "For the Kids III." Due Oct. 2 from Nettwerk, the project will raise funds for VH1's Save the Music Foundation (info here). See full story about it on Billboard.

Due to the possibility of inclement weather, Dar's Cold Spring show on Sunday has been moved indoors to Pilgrim Hall, Graymoor, Garrison, NY.
The tour schedule has been updated with the first show of 2008.

I have a Dar shirt that's been hanging around for ages and nobody wears it (I think it might have been put on once or twice maybe). It's the Empire shirt, 100% cotton, American Apparel, Size L (the sizing is small.) I'll send it to the first person who emails me with their address and an amusing tale of something that's happened to you lately (the latter simply for my own amusement!)

Dar is playing a free concert in Cold Spring, NY this Sunday, July 29 starting at 5:30 p.m. This is the second year Dar has played the local chamber of commerce's Summer Sunset Music Series.

Still here . . . nothing much going on these days, not even any new tour dates. I hope there'll be some fans who'll be at Falcon Ridge and taking some great shots of Dar to add to the Gallery!!
